Our 3 little bags of donated qiviut are washed, but not ready for spinning. First it will need to have all the guard hairs and any vegetable matter removed.  That is scheduled for 1-4 pm on Thursday April 16th. The following Thursday afternoon, April 23rd, we will make rolags using cotton carders which are very fine. Then the spinning can begin. It needs to be spun REALLY fine so that when plied and knitted it does not overwhelm the wearer with its warmth. Anything we make will be a fundraiser for the Guild at the October sale, as well as a learning project for most of us.
